The book did turn out to be interesting, but there were a couple of flaws I found with the story that kind of annoyed me. For one thing, there were 3 forgers in this book, not just one - and they all knew each other. I would think that if you were a forger it would be in your interest to NOT be known to other people as a forger - even if those other people were forgers themselves.
A book seller found out that Will (main character) had been a forger in his past (theoretically reformed after having been caught) and forgave him and stayed his friend. I don't know a book seller out there in the world that would forgive a forger and continue to buy books from him and be their friend.
So the story is about this Will guy, who is a reformed forger (but he still does forging on occasion - so not that reformed) and about Adam who is a forger and gets murdered. Then there is this 3rd forger that comes on the scene who thinks Will is the guy who killed Adam. The problem with this is that Will thinks the 3rd forger killed Adam. And now I have two thumbs down on the book because you never really figure out who killed Adam.
I also would have liked to have read more about why the forgers did what they did - this really wasn't broached in the book.
