As Daniel delves deeper into the mystery he is threatened by the man burning the books as well as the fascist police in 1940s Spain. It soon becomes a race to see if he can find out the mystery of Julian Carax before the police find him and his friend Fermin who is helping him.
I did have a little of a hard time keeping up with the characters and the plot twists, but this book was worth keeping up with the details. It is fast-paced and riddled with mystery. It is for mystery lovers, people who love romance, history lovers and most of all -- book lovers. I'd recommend this book to just about anyone!
