My Kitties - past and present
Bellalune - the black and white Tuxedo kitty was my first kitty as an adult. I got her when she was about 12 weeks old and she was the cutest kitty ever. She was one of those kitties that preferred to be petted and loved on her terms - but when she wanted to be petted and loved you could tell she enjoyed it. I ended up giving her to the humane society in 2012 because she and my other kitty Zena were fighting so much. I was very sad to lose her, but I knew it was the best thing for me and both of the kitties.
Zena - is the grey and white Siamese/Manx kitty. She was an adorable sweetheart who loved to cuddle with me while I was watching TV or reading a book. She also slept with me every night - sometimes under the covers for warmth. I got Zena when she was about 6 months old and she burst on to the scene with an amazing personality. People say when you get a new kitty that you should keep them in one room by themselves for the first couple of days so they have a chance to get used to their surroundings. Boy, not Zena - she didn't want any time by herself at all. She pawed at the door to get out so she could be with me and BellaLune. This was her stance in life about everything - she wanted to be in the thick of it. Unfortunately when Zena was 5 1/2 years old, her immune system started attacking her bone marrow and within 3 weeks of the diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia I had to euthanize her because she was so sick. I will miss Zena so much.
Meet Charlie! He is my newest kitty and is an absolute lover. He is the orange tabby. He loves to play with toys and to give love nips - he nips you and then he licks you! He loves to be petted and has the loudest purr I have ever heard. Charlie has a heart murmur, but it hasn't affected his growth - or his love of life.
I know this website is supposed to be about books, but these cats have played in my bookshelves and climbed on top of books in my house. So I figure they deserve a place on this website.
