Father Alex and Father Simon are brothers. One is a catholic priest, the other is a Coptic priest - different branches of the same tree.
Father Simon is accused of murdering an archivist that was putting up an historical display in the Vatican. It is up to Father Alex to save not only his brother who will not talk to the police on his own behalf, but the display as well from being taken down.
This is a fun and fast-paced book with lots of catholic imagery as well as lots of information about the Coptic church (which I had never realized was a part of the Catholic church). Though, as I say that, I think they would take umbrage with how I described them. They are their own church, with roots in the Catholic church. There. I've fixed my description - now you go read the book!
