Alvin goes with Ta-Kumsaw the great Indian warrior, to all of the Indian tribes to tell them of Harrison's treachry. Ta-Kumsaw is bound and determined to gather an army of Indian warriors to fight.
In this book, Napoleon comes to America to fight in the Red wars and Andrew Jackson fights in them as well. I find it interesting to see how the author takes people out of our history and reimagines them in this new 'American' history he is creating in the Alvin Maker series.
For me, there was too much war in this book: too much fighting and too much war strategizing. Hopefully book 3 will go back to being a little more fantastical.
