At the same time there are various terrorist subway and train bombings in the area. One evening Leela is instructed to get into a car and is taken to an interrogation room where she is shown pictures of Mishka talking with the person who they believe blew himself up in the latest bombing.
Leela can't believe that Mishka would have anything to do with the bombings and protests this. After being interrogated all night, she is let go. When she arrives home, Mishka is nowhere to be found. There is only a note stating that he will be out of town for a while.
Thus starts Leela's journey to find Mishka. She calls on old friends: some who used to be in the military and some who still are in the military to try and help her find him. She asks politicians for help. But everyone seems to deny Mishka's existence. It isn't until an old friend steps up that there is hope that Mishka will be found.
