M.R. sees things and hears things that she believes to be real and only later, when she finds evidence to the contrary can she see that what she has seen or heard prior to that point is false. She even believes she murdered a colleague late one night after a dinner party.
Mudwoman is a jarring and disturbing story of a woman trying to keep reality in balance in her life. I liked this book because as I was reading it I was always being forced to ask myself what was going on with this woman who had so many layers. It made the book far more interesting than one where the main character is one-note.
